I have 08 VW Rabbit with factory iPod kit installed, the kit worked great back in 2008 but now most iPods and iPhones need 5V power supply. Not only this made my car stereo better it gave me more features. It took literarily 20 minutes to install. I just pulled out the iPod connector box inside the arm-rest, took out 4 screws from the bottom of it, disconnected the 12-pin cable and plugged in the DICE adapter. This fits right in, theres enough room for adapter in the arm-rest which is great because some kits are bulky.I love that I can listen to my iPod again, I can plug in my iPhone and turn on some international radio or Pandora, works great, sounds great, I love it. Oh and of course there's also AUX option for my one friend who has a Zune, LOL, what an a**hole.

I have an iphone 4s and a VW Jetta GLI VR6 with the stock monsoon stereo (no SAT). I have run into issues where the audio will fade in and out of the right side speaker and random times. I have tried re-installing the device multiple time as well as playing with the dim switches, gain volume, iphone sound settings, firmware, and different ipods. This behavior is only present when I use the device and I have contacted their support staff and have not recieved any type of reply or assistance. The only thing that works 100% of the time is the charging, when the audio does work the product is great but at this point it sounds so bad from only one side of the car I don't use it anymore. It's impossible to screw up the installation so maybe I have a bad unit, who knows, but now i have to just wait and see if DICE support will ever get back to me. I will post a status update and an updated review if I ever hear back from them.Update 2/14/2012After persistantly contacting DICE support I was sent a new unit with free shipping. If you have to go through this process make sure you register your unit first online and then just call them becuase they will not respond to the ticketing system quickly. The tech informed me that this problem has happened before and they were going to replace the unti free of charge. So they put a hold on my credit card until I ship them the old unit back.... I have been driving around for a little under a week and the issue seems to have gone away. I am a little pissed that I have to pay to ship the broken unit back to them but atleast I have a working unit now. Overall this item is great, it works as expected, and it was easy to install. 4/5 stars becuase it was too much of a pain in the ass to deal with the broken unit.

Installed this last night on my wife's Jetta works perfectly, installation was pretty simple for a beginner (it won't work unless grounded, I figured that out after some frustration). There is also a great how to video on YouTube which walks you through the installation process. The product sync's with the ipod perfectly can change playlist and tracks through the factory radio without touching the ipod which is a great bonus, also includes an Aux input which might come in handy down the road. Overall excellent product.
