By R. A. Walker
I ordered this stand after a lot of research, asking people I knew who race or run shops. I was really tempted to go cheaper. There are a lot of less expensive stands that you bolt together out there. This one costs a good 3x what they do. Suffice to say that I do not have the buyer's remorse. This thing is engineered like a tank. It is like the difference between buying good, professional tools and one of those cheap toolbox filler sets you get at a big-box store. I have no doubt that the pitbull label which states, "This thing will outlast your bike" is spot on. When archaeologists dig up my bones in 1000 years, they will know I did something involving lifting the rear wheel of a motorcycle, because this stand will be right there and probably still usable. It's sort of like the whole, "what should I spend on a helmet" question. There are cheap helmets, there are good helmets, but there are very, very few good, cheap helmets. You aim for the best quality you can get within your budget, and you spend as much as you can afford. Yes, a good helmet might cost 3x as much as a cheap one, but it is a better piece of hardware. Similarly, this stand costs 3x as much as a cheap one, but I'm not worried about it breaking and dropping a motorcycle on me. You get what you pay for, and in the case of the pitbull, you're paying for something that does exactly what you expect, every time, forever.

By Hawkeye
This stand is well worth the money you pay for it. I have had mine for over 2 years now, using it weekly to lube the chain and check the tires in the summer as well as storage all winter and it still looks and functions like brand new.Pros:-The spool grabs are easily adjustable (my R6 and my brothers R1 have different swing arms so I adjust it every now and then to work on his bike).-The materials and construction are top notch. 2 years of constant use and it does not even show signs of wear, let alone anything breaking or becoming unstable.-This stand holds the bike very sturdy, even if you are not using a front stand. Just make sure it is on a level surface because the wheels to still touch the ground when the bike is lifted.Cons:-Price, but in this case you do get what you pay for.-Can be difficult to get the bike up by yourself if you have not used a rear stand before. All in all, this stand makes maintenance 100x easier and I just wish I would have gotten it sooner in my biking career. Definitely recommended.Side note: To get my bike up I prefer to approach my bike from the back and line up the left spool. I'll then start pushing down on the stand grip and my bike will get pulled off of the kickstand. I hold my other hand on the back seat cowl to stabilize the bike but once it starts rising it should line the right spool up perfectly. Then just give it a little weight to get the tire off of the ground. Make sure you do that in one strong movement otherwise it'll set your bike down on the tire if you do not hit the apex.

By edster
I bought this stand assuming it would work and it does. However, you have to be very careful on certain swing arms because it will GOUGE the metal if you try to use the spool type supports. I have mine listed on Craigslist, now.
