I installed this unit in a 2003 GMS Sonoma. Double DIN fit very well, small modification required due to depth of unit. Overall I would rate this unit an 9 out of 10.PROSRotary volume control, in my opinion much easier to use over push buttons (either hardware or on screen software buttons)The GPS button will toggle between the active audio source and the GPS software--NiceRadio function and graphic excellentSound equalization and tone controls excellentiPod function and graphic very goodCD function-nothing special, it just worksDVD function-again nothing special, it just works--excellent pictureAUX-IN--I use the rear audio AUX-IN to listen to an external satellite radio receiver. This function works wellBluetooth function-phone book transfers to unit, accepts calls from any audio/navigation mode, switches to Bluetooth function for call then returns to previous mode. Bluetooth music function works well, with play, next, previous and pause supported. No display of file/song name. Overall rating very goodRear Camera-I added a license plate mounted rear view camera which functions very well with this unit--excellentGPS Navigation--Over all I give this function a very good to excellent. I have the external GPS antenna mounted on top of the dash (antenna cable not long enough to route to the outside the truck). USA maps appear to reasonably up to date. Navigation routing--average. I have seen better routes and most certainly have seen worse. Over all pleased with the GPS function.CONSUSB/SD MP3 audio function-this is a letdown. Sound is good, but graphic and file navigation leave a lot to be desired. Unit does not properly display long file names which makes navigation difficult. I give this function a mediocre ratingUSB/SD Video function. Very poor. I have yet to find a file format that the unit can read.Front AUX-IN too close to the volume control as is the front USB inputBoot time. From the time power is applied, it takes about 6 seconds for this unit to boot to the last audio input (radio, AUX-IN, etc.) active before previous power-off. Then it takes another 10 seconds for the GPS software to boot.Considering price/performance of this unit, I would purchase again for second vehicle and would recommend it to a friend.

I bought this deck for my 2007 impala about a month ago and gotta say it gets the job done. I intended on just making my car a bit schnazzier, but once a month passed it left e wanting more. I gave it 3 stars because of the format(looks). But for price id give it a 4 maybe 4.5.*Pro's*-Great dvd picture quality-Sounds pretty good-Decent price-SD card slot-Volume knob-Good Menu display-Decent SD card display-Decent Blue tooth display-Good Radio Display-Alot of settings to choose from(brightness, contrast, bass, treble, sharpness,etc.)-Aux. port works However screen remains blue, but if you go back to menu it remains playing.-potential for rearview camera-Looks pretty good in car*Cons*-Ipod didn't work through USB.-No GPS potential-no screen when auxilary cable is plugged in.-I dont seem to be getting as much bass as with my stock stereo.-I'm not sure how to change the screen, but I think there is a way-CD background looks cheesy.(It Says Boss)kinda annoying.*Conclusion*Would I have bought it knowing its features? Yes I would and for 185 bucks it's a pretty good deal. But now that i have experienced a touch screen I want to upgrade however I love my car and upgrading is my choice. I have enjoyed and enjoying it. I hope this review helped your decision.

got this for my 2011 dodge nitro, after reading lots of reviews and looking at all the similar products on ebay and whatnot. Fit perfect in this vehicle with purchase of wire harness adapter for my vehicle. every function that i have worked great as soon as i fired up the unit. Dont have the rear camera, or steering wheel controls on this vehicle, so thats not hooked up. Unit looks nice and clean and like it is a factory unit. The sound quality and volume is awesome for the price. Lots of power. will be huge improvement over a factory non-amplified system. In fact i recently replaced a factory ford system in a 2004 lightning with a Kenwood DPX 308U which is a well known high end brand, and i was very impressed with that one, BUT this Boss unit has just as much power and quality, if not more, as the Kenwood. Dvd works great, great resolution, and very quick to read discs. Navagation/GPS worked awsome although i havent used all of its capabilities, but it is pretty quick to load and start, and pretty simple to use. Takes a little time to learn all of its functions on the gps, but no more than a garmin or tomtom. Great signal reception so far too on gps. Overall pretty simple to use the menu options and set up unit, touch screen is awsome. blue tooth phone easy to set up and worked great. Overall it is GREAT unit. Dont know about longevity of it because ive only had for a few days, but seems like well made unit. Just like everything else- if you take care of it, it will last.... Only complaint i found with it is that it does not have much EQ options and adjustments like high end brand of kenwood. It only has pop, rock, classical, and off for EQ settings and only bass, treble, loudness on/off, fade F & R, and balance L & R for audio adjustments. No midrange or individual frequency adjustments- pretty basic for unit with alot of capabilities. But still has awsome quality, clarity and LOTS OF POWER. Cant go wrong- right in middle of the cheapo no-name chinese junk and the way over-priced high end brands with same functions. Very happy.
