When I bought my 2006 Acura TL, I was a little disappointed that it didn't support mp3 CDs and instead came with a cassette deck, so one can imagine how excited I was for an iPod integration kit that would allow me to have full functionality over my iPod(s) with my stock stereo/navigation controls. I typically don't write reviews for anything I buy but I grow tired of the poor customer service provided by Dice Electronics and feel that consumers should know that other options exist.The good:With Apple changing the power wire for their iPod lineup from 12V to 5V, it was nice to be able to charge my old iPods as well as my newer iPod Touch. Once you get past the install, using the product was extremely easy: plug in your iPod, turn on your radio to the XM mode, then play back your songs.The unit displays all the information (except the time in the audio track) for any iPod (except the Shuffle which is forgivable) and navigating through your albums/playlists is very easy. You don't have to own an iPod to use the Dice unit because it also has 3.5'' stereo miniplug port to support other portable media players.The sound quality from this unit is also very good and is MUCH better than any FM transmitter I've ever used. I'd easily say the sound quality is better than using a tape cassette adapter and even though that option would be cheaper, you would still need to find a way to keep your iPod charged, and you wouldn't have control of your iPod through your stereo/steering wheel controls.The bad:I recently updated my iPod Touch to a 2.0+ version of the iPod firmware, and now my Touch has a hard time connecting to the unit. Plugging in my older 40gb iPod works fine. Once my Touch is recognized, my songs will start playing back, but this can sometimes take up to 10-15 minutes. A really nice feature with the Dice unit is that you can resume your songs when you start your car back up. Since I lose my connection with my Touch, it becomes quite tiresome to have to restart my music every time AFTER trying to get it reconnected.I have since emailed Dice Electronics regarding this issue, and their response is that Apple should take care of this problem on their own. I don't know about you, but I highly doubt that compatibility with this company's product is a top priority for Apple. My iPod Touch works perfectly with my iPod speaker docks in my home, and I never have a problem with making a connection.The ugly:The Dice unit I own is actually the second one I've received. My first unit was faulty and would not charge my iPod Touch. I thought this might have been an issue with my Touch (since it was still new at the time) so I tried plugging in a 1G Nano and 3G 20GB iPod as well (which were fully supported according to the documentation from Dice). The Dice unit FRIED both of these iPods.I contacted Dice right away hoping they could help me, since they literally cost me TWO iPods. While they RMA'd my faulty Dice unit, they completely shrugged off the fact that their product fried two of my iPods. They attempted to place the blame on the age of my iPods (even though they were supported according to THEIR installation guide) even though I've used both of my older iPods across countless docks/chargers/cables without any problems.If you own a product by this company and it is working perfectly fine for you, I am very glad that you have been fortunate enough not to have experienced what I have. For others looking for an iPod integration kit, I would highly recommend the kit offered by Peripheral Electronics. I have heard nothing but good things for this product, the firmware is upgradeable online through their website, and I have never heard a bad comment regarding their customer service.

I bought this for a friend of mine with a 2005 Acura TSX with Navi. He has a subwoofer and amp but wanted to keep his stock head unit with Navi, but he had no aux for iPod. Until I found this bad boy. Took a total of 15 minutes to hook up. I first took out the bin tray under the Navi by pushing in my flat head screw driver on each side to undo the clips. The hardest part was unplugging the wiring harness cause my hand is so big but with a quick push of my flat head screw driver it popped right out. I drilled a hole through the din tray with a butterfly bit and ran the iPod cable through it. I also ran a 3.5mm cable into the glovebox for future/non iPod owners. Tested it out, worked great, pressed "cd-aux" on the dash went to a cd. Then pressed it again and it said "cd-c" and played the iPod. So sickkkkkkkkkkk, it works with the 3GS and iPhone 4 so what ever you have should be good to go. This product is to legit to quit! I'm going to purchase the one for my girlfriends 2005 corolla now! So sick!

I bought this ipod integration kit for my 2005 acura TSX. installed it myself, which wasn't very difficult. had to remove the 1st storage compartment under the cd player, a few quick connects and done. my problem with the DICE is the sound quality. reading other reviews says that the sound is superb, i find this to be far from true. i ask anyone who has this unit installed to put in a cd, and switch from cd to ipod (which works through the xm function). if you cant tell a difference then maybe you need to turn up your hearing aid... to me the sound is god awful. and its not my speakers because i have very nice pioneers that sound amazing when playing a cd. it's also not the bitrate of the songs on the ipod either (i aint a noob -_-). there is crackling and just overall bad quality of sound coming from the DICE unit.another problem is that it goes through the damn xm setting, which if you dont unplug the antennae (located under the carpeting in the trunk) you can still hear that 1 crappy free channel you get from xm. ON TOP OF THAT once you do unplug the antannae then your unit will read "antennae unplugged" and will interrupt the text of whatever you are listening to. really really annoying and i just figured id post something on here to make people away of what they are getting into.
