Positives:-Navigation's as easy as it can be within Toyota's limitations.-Sound quality's good.Negatives:-USA-SPEC could have done so much more...-Adapter can only be set for display through the GPS screen or the CD player screen; not both simultaneously.-Navigation sucks through the CD player's one-line display, so I have it set to run on the GPS screen, but the GPS screen will only tell you the song title.-GPS screen will only tell you the album if you click "folder list" then "song info", but you can only do this at a stop. The CD player's one-line text display can't display any of this information (unlike if I'm playing MP3 files on the factory CD player).-It comes with an RCA adapter so that you can plug another music source in, but you have to flip a DIP switch on the adapter if you want to use the RCA plugs instead of the iPod interface. Once the adapter's installed, it's too much of a pain to get at the DIP switches to ever change the choice again.Bottom line: I'm satisfied with it. It works, I can connect my iPod to my car, I get great-sounding music, and can browse by genre, artist, song, playlist, or play everything. Each category can also be randomized. However, USA-SPEC could have done so much more with this adapter.

This is a wonderful product. Works beyond my imagination. It has exceeded my expectation and given me a good reason to spend more time in my car.PROs:1. Provides a wonderful interface from my NAV screen (LEXUS ES350)2. My CD player is not completely disbaled - I had a fear that installign the interface would disable my CD player. I can still play my CDs when I am not playing my ipod (the USA SPEC guys need to do a better at marketing their product)3. The sound quality is excellent and provides good ipod fidelity4. Again - something that was not mentioned i the manual - I can access and play the non-playlist options too (i.e. I can sort and play the songs by album, artist, genre etc).5. There is negligible delay in accessing the information from the ipod.CONs:1. Well just one CON- the USA SPEC guys need a smart marketing communications person to help sell their technically excellent product to the masses. Their instruction manual is scanty and even the information on the web is scanty. For someone who is going to do a DIY job - we need better instructions.Due to lack of poor instructions I had to spend some time pouring over web sites to fish out relevant information. The actual productive time to open my dashboard, install the interface, test it and put the dashboard back was about 30 minutes. Mine took longer.

I cannot rate this product yet as it did not work for me yet! It sure looks like a good solution to bring the vehicle up to speed with the ipod / mp3 connectivity..HOWEVER,I'm very disapointed in this product as it does not work, and if i were living in the US i would have sent it back for replacement if i had to return it from the UAE it would have cost me a lot to return it for replacement, the only thing it does is it charges the ipod i tried everything according to the manual but it just does not work... It well could be a defect with the unit from factory who knows...Please advise my lexus LX470 2003 NEEDS TO BE CONNECTED TO AN IPOD PLS HELP!!!
